Jeff Rutt is the creator and founder of the prestigious Key Custom Homes, situated in the County of Lancaster in Pennsylvania. Actually, Jeff Rutt was not a home builder or real estate developer all his life. At first, he was engaged in the burdensome work of dairy farming, a business wherein which he also prospered then. Together with the help of his wide, he managed and operated his own 200 acre dairy farm around his Lancaster home in the state of Pennsylvania.  He was very happy with the turnout of his hard work in his dairy farming business, being able to earn significant amounts of profits for ten years, from 1982 up to 1992. However, when 1992 came, Jeff Rutt decided that it is time to change careers. He wanted to venture into a new field, which is real estate, or specifically home building. He believed that home building is one of the less risky businesses that anyone can be engaged in. Likewise, when he was already in the home building business, he looked forward to using lesser hours at work and more for his charitable activities. Less risky business and more relaxed way of working are mainly his reason why he decided to shift careers into home building.

It was in 1997 when Jeff Rutt launched the HOPE International; this was helped him to earn the kind of fame and high reputation within the home building industry. Rutt is also known to be one of the best and most amiable philanthropists of the times. Rutt has stated that the principles of life and business success are basically perseverance, positive attitude and efficiency. These are actually the guiding principles of Jeff for success. However, they can also be used by other people to gain success. Based on these life principles, Rutt managed to sell twelve home properties, this was during the first six months of building and putting up Key Custom Homes. After this, the home building company realized significant growth, with the trend continuing in the near future.
